Reworking, Rewriting, Revising (Content Creations)
Reworking, rewriting and revising material that

Maybe you're not a writer or don't want to go it alone. Even with a great idea, turning your concepts into compelling literature is no easy feat. That's where ghost-writing comes in: its your ideas, and your plan, executed by a ghost, a mystery writer who comes in, brings your concepts together with words, professionally delivers your vision on a silver platter, and bequeaths it to you for your own uses, before disappearing back into the shadows of anonymity. Ghost-writing can involve as little and as much collaboration as you like, and can be combined with other services. Ghostwriting is suitable for those who have only got a handful of loose ideas they'd like developed right through to those with a complete draft and a clear goal of what the draft requires. Furthermore, with my experience, knowledge and network of professional contacts, I can assist with planning and executing the publication and marketing of your work. Whatever stage your work is at, however much or little help you require, if you think ghost-writing is what you're after, please get in touch.
Examples of work that may be ghost-written are: Resumes, CVs and Cover Letters, Articles, Interviews, Recipes, Memoirs, Histories, Manuals, Guidebooks and other Non-fiction, Children's Stories/Books, Speeches, Poems and more.
Project Management, Creative Consultancy & Collaboration
As a regular columnist for magazines and freelancer for private clients I have frequently become involved in other aspects of the project from design through to publication and supporting media. I am able to source other specialists and oversee your project until completion. I can also consult or collaborate with you or other freelancers directly. As a well-read creative individual with broad interests, I am always eager to embrace new challenges. If you have a project you would like me to be a part of, please contact me by filling out the form on this page, shedding some light on the nature of the project and any specifics you are able to disclose. If I believe I am the right person for the task, I will let you know so that we may discuss project details further.
Substantive editing, also known as developmental editing, focuses on the work as a whole, developing, organising and structuring content, and cultivating ideas and concepts. I take your goals, requirements and the scope of the work into consideration to advise you how to best achieve your aims from a writing and editorial perspective. Guidance may be offered on reworking or rewriting parts of the text, suggesting the inclusion of additional material and/or the exclusion of certain sections. Substantive editing always precedes copy-editing, formatting and proofreading. This service may be combined with Reworking, Rewriting & Revising.
Substantive Editing is suitable for short stories and longer manuscripts in both fiction and non-fiction. If you are feeling overwhelmed by the scale of your work, a substantive editor may be just the thing to help navigate you through it.
Also known as line-editing, content editing, or sub-editing, copy-editing focuses on correcting errors and inconsistencies in grammar, punctuation, spelling, usage, phrasing, facts and more. Copy-editing may be light, medium or heavy depending on what the material requires. Heavy copy-editing may involve line-by-line rewriting of sentences to improve coherency and readability, and is often combined with Substantive Editing to improve overall content organisation and structure. Copy editors may also undertake research in order to confirm facts and sources, and compile references.
The last stage of editing before publication. Proofreading focuses on correcting errors and inconsistencies in spelling, punctuation, grammar, usage, formatting and spacing based on the style guidelines set down by the copy-editor. Mechanical and typographical errors inadvertently introduced during the typesetting, layout and formatting stages are addressed at this stage. Highly recommended for work otherwise ready for publication or submission.
